3. Visit flow
01
Any time
Use the public waterfront
VISITKOREA lists the outdoor beach as open 24 hours. Darkness, wind, waves and closed facilities still limit what is sensible or available.
02
2026 season ended August 23
Separate access from supervised swimming
The dated 2026 season ran July 4-August 23, with general swimming hours listed as 9:00 AM-6:00 PM. Those lifeguard services are no longer current.
03
July 25-August 8, 2026 only
Night swimming was a limited programme
The extended 9:00 PM swimming window applied only to the announced peak period. It must not be shown as an everyday or year-round beach service.
4. Traveler tips
Check wind, wave and coastal warnings before travelling for swimming; a clear sky alone does not establish safe water conditions.
Save the exact beach entrance or parking lot rather than navigating only to 'Gyeongpo', which covers a much larger lake-and-coast area.
Use the pine edge and promenade without crossing dune protection or entering closed water-safety zones for a photograph.
Search “경포해변” in Naver Map or Kakao Map and confirm the entrance before leaving.
Check wind, rain and any seasonal swimming or ferry notice before travelling.
