Use a nationwide reloadable card when your trip crosses cities or includes ordinary buses and subways. Compare a short-term Seoul pass only when most planned rides fall inside its current service area.
Watch out A card sold to tourists is not automatically the cheapest choice; count realistic rides rather than buying from the name alone.
Convenience stores nationwide sell common reloadable cards. Seoul subway information centers and approved vending machines sell selected products.
