- The police-box photograph documents one Seoul location, not current opening, staffing, language support, jurisdiction or the nearest available police response.
- The medical poster lists example severe symptoms and a care-navigation flow; it is not a diagnosis, a complete emergency threshold or proof of a particular hospital, language or treatment outcome.
- The passport poster shows a safe general sequence, but the traveler's own embassy or consulate decides documents and issuance; police, airline, visa and onward-entry requirements remain separate.

What you actually do, in order.

Move away from the immediate hazard if you can
Go to a lit staffed place, leave traffic, smoke, floodwater, a hostile person or another continuing hazard without putting yourself or others at greater risk. If authorities direct an evacuation, follow the current route and do not return for belongings.

Do not delay a call to film, post publicly, collect every bag or wait for a community reply. If moving is unsafe, tell the dispatcher exactly where you are and follow instructions.

Call 112 for an active crime or police danger
Use 112 for violence, threats, stalking, an active theft, a missing vulnerable person or another situation needing immediate police response. Say the location and what is happening before a long explanation.

A nearby police-box photo or map listing does not prove that a desk is open or staffed now. Do not walk toward a suspected offender or delay the emergency call to find an English-speaking office.

Call 119 for fire, rescue or a medical emergency
Use 119 for fire, smoke, entrapment, rescue, severe injury, serious illness or a rapidly worsening condition. Give the location first, describe the immediate danger and follow the dispatcher's instructions while help is sent.

The symptom list in the illustrated medical guide is not a diagnosis or a complete threshold. Do not wait for insurance approval or search for an English-speaking hospital when urgent help is needed.

Give the exact current location before the story
Read a Korean road address, station and exit, building name, floor or visible landmark from the map or sign. State the incident, number of people affected and a callback number, then keep the line available and send somebody to meet responders only if it is safe.

Your accommodation address is useful for returning later but is not the incident location when you are elsewhere. An English business name alone may identify the wrong branch.

State your language without changing the emergency route
After the location and emergency type, state the language you can use and follow the responder's instructions. For a non-emergency tourism question or interpretation need, use the official 1330 hotline or its current online channel.

1330 is not police, fire, rescue or ambulance dispatch. Language and channel availability can vary, so interpretation must never delay 112, 119 or urgent treatment.

Keep essential records private and usable
Save the incident time, location, official case number, responder or facility, receipts and only the photos needed for a report or insurer. Share medical details, passport data, room numbers and access codes only through the relevant private official channel.

A public Community post is not an emergency report, diagnosis, police statement or insurance claim. Never publish a passport image, full card number, medicine record, live room number or unlock code.

Use your own embassy or consulate for a lost passport
Contact your own government's official mission immediately and follow its instructions about police documentation, identity photos, forms and a replacement or emergency travel document. Recheck airline, visa and onward-entry acceptance only after the document facts are known.

A police receipt is not a new passport. Requirements, office hours, emergency contacts, fees, document issue and airline acceptance are country- and case-specific.

Continue through the official follow-up route
After immediate danger is controlled, use the exact operator, facility, police, Lost112, card issuer, insurer or consumer route for the remaining problem. During a disaster, keep following current Safe Korea and local authority alerts, closures and shelter directions.

1330 can provide travel information, interpretation and tourist complaint guidance, but it does not decide a refund, criminal case, medical outcome, insurance claim or evacuation order.
