DAY 2 · MOUNTAIN + SOUTH
Give the weather one important decision
On a clear day, walk Yeongsil. In poor mountain weather, skip it and spend a slower day around Seogwipo waterfalls, coast and market.- 08:00

What the route does—and does not—promise.
- This route assumes useful morning and afternoon flight times. Late arrival or early departure means removing a coast, not compressing it.
- Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 are three separate calendar days. The nine stops are split 3 + 3 + 3; they are not one illustrated timeline and should never be marketed as one day.
- Hallasan trail entry, parking access, road controls and turn-around times vary by season and weather. Confirm the official live status before leaving and use the south-city version when the mountain is closed or unpleasant.
- Yeongsil is not a summit route to Baengnokdam. Choose it for a shorter scenic Hallasan day and do not imply that every Hallasan trail reaches the summit.
- Jeongbang Waterfall includes stairs and wet, uneven rock near the water. Obey barriers and skip the lowest rocks when spray, waves or mobility make them unsafe.
- Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market stalls keep individual hours, prices, recipes and payment rules. Confirm portion, ingredients and the final total before ordering shared food.
- OSULLOC Tea Museum is a commercial visitor venue, not a public tea field with guaranteed free access to every program. Recheck opening, booking, sold-out products and weather changes on its official channel.
- Hamdeok and Hyeopjae are open landscapes outside the supervised swimming season. Enter the water only in a currently designated swimming zone and follow live lifeguard, wind, wave and pet rules.
- Aewol is the final coast direction, not permission to keep adding cafés. Leave enough time for traffic, fuel, rental-car inspection and return, airport check-in and security.
- Manjanggul is deliberately absent from this compact three-day route, not presented as permanently closed. Visit Jeju listed a May 30, 2026 reopening after restoration; confirm current access and substitute it for another east stop instead of adding a tenth stop.
- Do not drive after alcohol, when exhausted or in severe wind, rain or snow. Keep a charged phone; call 112 for police, 119 for fire or medical emergency and 1330 for multilingual travel help.
