BUSAN EAST → WEST

Temple morning, coastal afternoon, bridge lights

Start at the farthest eastern stop and keep moving toward the city. Times are pacing suggestions; temple access, coastal-train tickets and the last metro must be checked live.

    Begin at the route's eastern edge before tour-bus crowds build. The coastal setting is the point; allow for stairs and quiet worship areas.

    Songjeong Beach

    송정해수욕장

    Move west for an easy beach walk and an early lunch rather than doubling back toward central Busan.

    Eat here or at Cheongsapo so the afternoon stays on one corridor

    청사포

    Choose the coastal walk, Beach Train or a reserved Sky Capsule segment according to weather, mobility and ticket availability.

    Mipo and Haeundae Beach

    미포 · 해운대해수욕장

    Arrive naturally from the east, then continue on foot along Haeundae instead of treating it as a separate return trip.

    Dongbaekseom coastal walk

    동백섬

    A short, flexible walk adds a view back toward Haeundae. Skip it when the morning ran long or accessibility matters.

    Gwangalli Beach

    광안리해수욕장

    Finish farther west with dinner and the illuminated bridge, close to Busan Metro Line 2 for the return.

East first, west once

Busan is longer than it looks on a tourist map. Starting at Yonggungsa prevents the same coast from being crossed twice.

What can still change

  • Haedong Yonggungsa includes stairs, exposed paths and active religious spaces. Dress and behave respectfully, and allow extra time when mobility is limited.
  • Beach Train and Sky Capsule fares, first departures, operating hours, sold-out periods and cancellation rules change. Use the official Blue Line Park page on the travel date.
  • Busan distances are deceptive. Jagalchi Market and Gamcheon Culture Village are deliberately excluded because west Busan works better as a separate day.
  • A Gwangalli drone show is never assumed. Weather, safety controls and event schedules can cancel it; the beach and bridge view remain the reliable finish.
  • Check the last Line 2 train or night-bus connection before dinner, especially when your accommodation is outside Suyeong or Haeundae.
