What can still change

• This is one Hahoe day, not the six-mode culture chooser in Topic 047 and not a two-night itinerary. The five-stage image turns its final stage into a meal-or-bridge choice; it does not require six stops.
• Andong's official English Hahoe page still displays city bus line 246 and a timetable, while other current city information and the live bus system may show revised routing. Never freeze a route number from this guide: the Andong bus information system and stop display on the travel date win.
• Before boarding, save the outbound stop, Hahoe return stop, direction, last useful departure and one earlier preferred departure. A screenshot helps only after the information has been verified live.
• The official Hahoe page currently lists seasonal village hours and admission, but current entrance notices, exemptions, closures and ticket conditions override cached directory text. Arrive with a buffer rather than aiming at last admission.
• The Hahoe World Mask Museum has its own operating pattern. Andong's museum directory instructs visitors to check each museum's official site for the most accurate hours; gallery access and holiday closures are not guaranteed by the village ticket.
• Hahoe and Yangdong are UNESCO-listed historic clan villages. Hahoe remains inhabited, so private homes, courtyards, family activity and residents are not public exhibits even when the surrounding village has an admission ticket.
• Stay on marked public paths, keep voices low, do not enter an open-looking doorway, sit on thresholds, touch walls or roof tiles, block lanes with tripods or photograph identifiable residents without permission.
• The performance notice published January 2, 2026 lists weekends in January–February and Tuesday–Sunday performances from March–December at 14:00, but it explicitly allows schedule changes. Use the newest official notice, not the printed time alone.
• That January notice also described a temporary underground venue during renovation expected through around April 2026, including stair and wheelchair or stroller limits. Because that arrangement was provisional, confirm today's actual venue and step-free access directly.
• Watching a professional mask dance does not grant permission to handle or wear an official mask, record the entire performance or obstruct the audience. Follow current photography, video and commercial-use rules.
• Byeongsan Seowon is not part of this route. Add it only with a confirmed vehicle or same-day connection and replace the downtown finish; never bolt it onto a bus-dependent Hahoe day because it looks nearby on a map.
• Buyongdae is excluded. Andong's official page says it has no public transportation; a taxi or car visit requires a separate access, surface, weather and return plan and must replace another part of the day.
• Lunch is a buffer, not a named restaurant recommendation. Read the menu, confirm the total and leave the queue when it threatens the performance or return; keep water and an appropriate snack for dietary needs.
• Ask about ingredients. Jjimdak commonly includes chicken, soy, wheat noodles, sugar and chilli; local set meals and side dishes may contain pork, fish, egg, shellfish seasoning, soy, wheat or sesame.
• Woryeonggyo is the optional public finish. The city currently lists anytime access and free admission, but weather, wet or icy surfaces, lighting, events and the last practical ride can make skipping it the correct choice.
• Accessibility differs across the museum, village shuttle or entrance area, gravel and earth lanes, performance venue and bridge approaches. Contact the current operator about the exact route, slope, step, toilet and mobility-aid needs.
• Check Korea Meteorological Administration warnings before leaving downtown. Heat, heavy rain, snow, ice, high wind or an official control overrides the performance and bridge; shorten the rural walk and keep the earlier return.
• For a taxi fallback, enter the exact Korean destination, use a licensed taxi or established app, match the vehicle and plate, confirm the meter or lawful fare method and keep the receipt or trip record. Do not accept an unsolicited ride.
• Carry a charged phone and independent return funds. Call 112 for police, 119 for fire or medical emergency and 1330 for multilingual travel support; a cultural itinerary never outranks an official safety instruction.
