TEN SCREEN-TO-PLACE CHOICES

10 filming-place choices, each with a reason.

These are ten official-tourism-backed choices across Korea, not a ranking or one cross-country route. Choose one regional chapter, then recheck the current operator and last mile.
01

SEOUL + GANGHWA · 서울과 강화

Civic architecture or a living temple

The screen connection is verified by VISITKOREA. DDP remains a working cultural complex and Jeondeungsa remains an active Buddhist temple; neither is a permanent drama set.
  1. 01

    Dongdaemun Design Plaza

    동대문디자인플라자 (DDP)

VISITKOREA identifies DDP as the Queenmaker election-campaign location. Choose it for a central Seoul architecture and exhibition day, then verify the exact public entrance and current program instead of hunting for an unmarked camera angle.

Exterior public layer + any separately ticketed exhibition · verify liveUse only public areas, keep event doors and pedestrian flow clear, and ask before using tripods or commercial equipment. A scene connection does not grant access to closed halls.
  2. 02

    Jeondeungsa Temple

    강화 전등사

The official The Glory itinerary includes Jeondeungsa and its wooded approach. Choose this as a Ganghwa heritage visit first; the temple's worship, heritage-protection and photography rules matter more than recreating a scene.

Temple and fortress-area terms can change · verify the official temple noticeDress and speak respectfully, never block worship or photograph people at prayer, and do not enter halls or paths marked closed. Build the return from Ganghwa before staying for late light.
02

INCHEON + CHUNGJU · 인천과 충주

A city lake or a flood-sensitive river trail

Both are real public landscapes with drama connections. Props, vegetation, water levels and paths can differ from the episode, season or old tourism photo.
  1. 01

    Cheongna Lake Park

    청라호수공원

Official tourism pages connect the park to the drama's baduk-park scenes. Use the pin as a broad park anchor, not a guarantee that every prop, pavilion or camera position remains in place today.

Public park layer is listed as free · boats, programs and parking are separateCheck the park operator for fountain, boat, construction and night-access notices. Stay on public paths and do not climb or move remaining set pieces for a photo.
  2. 02

    Binaeseom Island and Binae Trail

    비내섬 · 비내길

VISITKOREA identifies Binaeseom as the riverside picnic filming location. Choose it for a rural Chungju walking day only after checking river, trail and weather conditions; the map pin is an approach anchor rather than an invitation to drive onto wetland paths.

Trail access is generally public · transport and any nearby facilities varyFlooding, mud, heat and habitat protection can close or change access. Do not camp, cook, drive, pick plants or leave the marked route where local signs prohibit it.
03

JEJU + BUSAN · 제주와 부산

A ferry-dependent island or a conserved private forest

These are the two strongest date gates in the list. Gapado needs a workable outbound and return sailing; Ahopsan needs the current operator's admission and conservation rules.
  1. 01

    Gapado Island

    가파도

The official King the Land itinerary identifies Gapado's bicycle-date setting. Choose it only when the live ferry timetable, weather, passenger requirements and return sailing fit the rest of the Jeju day.

Round-trip ferry and marine-park terms apply · verify the current operatorCarry the required passenger identification, arrive before the operator's cutoff, and do not miss the assigned return. Wind or sea conditions can cancel service even on a saved trip.
  2. 02

    Ahopsan Forest

    아홉산숲

Official tourism sources connect the conserved bamboo and woodland setting to The King: Eternal Monarch. It is privately managed forest, so choose it only after the current admission, reservation and closure terms are confirmed.

Paid managed attraction · current reservation and admission rules controlStay on the permitted trail, never enter a production closure, and keep food, drones, smoke, props and damaging photo setups out of the forest. Plan the rural last mile and return before arrival.
04

SANGJU + MUNGYEONG · 상주와 문경

A river-island park or a working family attraction

These two Gyeongsangbuk-do choices can form separate regional days, but a saved filming pin does not prove current flowers, attractions, props or programme access.
  1. 01

    Gyeongcheonseom Park

    경천섬공원

KTO's Gyeongsangbuk-do drama tour identifies Gyeongcheonseom as a Castaway Diva filming landscape. Choose it for a Sangju river walk and seasonal nature, not as a promise that an exact still can be reproduced.

Public park layer · transport, rental and nearby attractions are separateCheck river and weather warnings, remain on open paths and protect planted areas. Route the exact bridge or parking approach live because a pin in the island interior may not be a usable entrance.
  2. 02

    Mungyeong Eco World

    문경에코월드

The official Gyeongsangbuk-do course connects Eco World to Queen of Tears. Visit it as a ticketed ecology, mining-history and family attraction; the current operating calendar decides which rides, studios and sets can actually be used.

Paid attraction · some experiences can have separate fees or closuresRecheck admission cutoff, seasonal hours, maintenance and accessibility on the operator page. Respect staff and other families; do not turn a working attraction into an unsupervised photo set.
05

MUNGYEONG TWO WAYS · 문경 두 가지 선택

A booked railbike or a historical open set

These are alternatives with different weather, mobility and booking needs. Keep the chosen activity inside one Mungyeong day and reopen the operator notice before departure.
  1. 01

    Mungyeong Rail Bike, Gurang-ri Station

    문경 철로자전거 · 구랑리역

Official tourism sources identify the Gurang-ri railbike sequence from Queen of Tears. Choose it only when the exact station, operating day, departure slot, party size and weather all fit.

Ticketed timed activity · price and reservation terms can changeDo not arrive at a different Mungyeong railbike station. Confirm mobility, child, rain, cancellation and late-arrival rules, then keep hands, phones and loose items secure during the ride.
  2. 02

    Mungyeongsaejae Open Set

    문경새재 오픈세트장

VISITKOREA lists the historical open set among Kingdom filming locations. Choose it for a managed set-and-heritage day while remembering that filming, maintenance or seasonal operations can close parts of the site without preserving a specific scene.

Separate open-set admission may apply · current park and set notices controlNever enter a closed set, touch props or interrupt production. Check the walking distance, shuttle or mobility support between the park entrance and set before committing to the day.

01

Choose the region

1 chapter

The ten pins span Korea. Start with the city or province already in the itinerary, then keep only one or two nearby choices.

02

Screen proof

Official source

Save the tourism page that names the drama and place. A fan edit, old blog or geotag is not enough to confirm the relationship.

03

Current access

Operator recheck

A verified filming connection does not prove today's hours, entrance, ticket, ferry, reservation, weather or set access.

04

Last mile

Before purchase

Rural islands, forests and Mungyeong attractions may need a regional bus, taxi, ferry or reserved slot after the intercity leg.

05

Food + recovery

One real break

Build a normal meal, water, shade and restroom plan around the location rather than spending the whole day matching a frame.

06

Footprint

After leaving

Report the date, public entrance, actual access and transport result without faces, private property, spoilers or anyone's live location.

TRIP BUDGETPublic place, admission or ferry varies · protect the regional returnActual prices vary by date, operator, distance and personal choices.

EDITOR’S NOTES

The choices that make this edit work.

VERIFY TWICE

Scene proof and visitor access are different facts

The official tourism source verifies why the place belongs in this guide. The present operator decides whether, when and how a traveler may enter today.

Drama source + live operator
ONE REGION

Ten choices are not one itinerary

DDP, Ganghwa, Chungju, Jeju, Busan, Sangju and Mungyeong cannot be stitched into a sensible day. Choose the region already attached to the trip.

Depth before pin collecting
EXACT PLACE

Search the Korean name, then confirm the entrance

A map pin can mark a park center, island or large complex. Reopen the Korean place name in a live Korean map and follow the operator's named gate, port or station.

Pin is orientation, not a doorway
LEAVE A TRACE

Publish the travel process, not a copied frame

A useful Footprint records access, wait, weather, transport and what changed. It does not recreate copyrighted scenes, expose other visitors or trespass for a closer angle.

Firsthand field value
The poster is a visual memory aid. Use the structured route, live map and sources for decisions.

BEFORE YOU GO

What can still change

  • This is a curated set of ten official-tourism-backed filming-place choices, not a popularity ranking, a permanent Netflix catalog or a ten-stop national route. Streaming availability varies by country and time.
  • A tourism page can verify a drama-place connection while current access has changed. Reopen both the cited filming source and the responsible operator on the travel date.
  • The map pins are broad visitor anchors for large parks, islands, forests and complexes. They do not identify an exact camera position, actor location, private set boundary or legal entrance.
  • Never enter private property, agency offices, production areas, hotels, homes, staff doors, vehicle routes or closed sets. Do not ask for or publish a performer's live location.
  • Props, facades, vegetation, signs and camera angles may have changed or disappeared. Do not move objects, climb barriers, fly a drone or block a path to force a matching shot.
  • Treat Jeondeungsa as a living religious site, Ahopsan as a conserved privately managed forest, and Binaeseom as a river habitat. Their local rules override any photo goal.
  • Gapado is ferry-dependent. Save the current outbound and assigned return, passenger-document requirements, weather cancellation terms and the mainland connection before paying.
  • For Mungyeong, distinguish Eco World, Gurang-ri Railbike and Mungyeongsaejae Open Set. They have separate entrances, tickets and operating conditions and are not interchangeable pins.
  • Build one real regional day around food, restrooms, weather, mobility and the complete return. Use 1330 for non-emergency travel help, 112 for police and 119 for fire or medical emergencies.
  • Leave a delayed, firsthand Footprint after the visit. Include the date, public entrance, actual access, wait, cost band and last-mile result; remove faces, tickets, receipts, plates, staff details and live location.
