What can still change

• Taean has no passenger rail station. The county's official transport page routes train travelers through Hongseong Station and an onward intercity bus; confirm both legs for the travel date.
• This route needs one night. Day one stays south on Anmyeondo, the overnight stays near Kkotji and Day two starts again in north Taean. Do not compress the dune and sunset into one cross-county dash.
• The official Korean city-tour information visible during this review still lists a 2025 operating period and minimum passenger counts. Do not assume a 2026 departure from an undated English summary; confirm through the current reservation page or Taean tourism office.
• The north and south city tours are alternatives to a self-drive route, not a guaranteed two-day package. Confirm the exact route, date, minimum headcount, reservation, fare, admissions and return before relying on either one.
• The west coast has a large tidal range. Do not walk toward offshore rocks, tidal channels or shellfish beds without checking the day's tide and a safe return time with an official local operator.
• A tide chart describes water level; it does not grant access. Weather, local channels, mud depth, fog, darkness, national-park controls and staff instructions can make a low-tide area unsafe or closed.
• Sinduri is a protected coastal dune and natural monument, not a desert playground. Stay on designated paths, keep out of restoration areas and follow Taeanhaean National Park closure notices.
• Do not climb dune faces, cross rope lines, pick vegetation or stage a portrait off the boardwalk. Repeated footsteps damage the plants and sand structure that make the protected landscape possible.
• Anmyeondo Recreational Forest normally publishes daytime access around 09:00–18:00, but seasonal, facility and lodging rules can differ. Recheck the official Foresttrip notice before driving south.
• Cheollipo's public visit is centered on Miller Garden. Private research gardens, festival programs and guided experiences may need a separate reservation and are not included automatically.
• Kkotji and Mallipo can be visited outside summer, but swimming is safe only when the beach is officially open, supervised and free of weather or water-safety restrictions.
• A beach promenade being open does not mean showers, rescue staff, rentals, food stalls or accessible facilities are operating. Verify the service you actually need for the date and season.
• Sunset, seasonal flowers and fresh seafood species are bonuses, not guarantees. The route remains useful for the forest, dune ecology, arboretum and coastline when clouds or seasons change.
• For a rental car, verify accepted licence documents, every authorized driver, collision cover, deductible, fuel, parking and return terms before handover. Photograph the vehicle only after legal parking.
• Ask before filming market staff, children, beach users, accommodation guests, payment screens or identifiable visitors. Generated scenery is editorial illustration, never proof of current tide, sunset, flowers, catch or crowd level.
• Call 1330 for multilingual travel information, 112 for police and 119 for fire or medical emergency. Save both days, the accommodation address, tide decision and final return offline.
