Seoul subway exits and last trains: what to check

A station name is not enough in Seoul: large stations can have exits on opposite sides of a major road. Share the station number, exit number, travel date and approximate time. For the final train, check the route in Naver Map or KakaoMap on the same day because weekday and weekend times can differ.

How to report a Seoul pop-up queue

Useful queue reports include the exact venue, visit date, arrival time, wait length, reservation method and whether walk-ins were accepted. Do not post an old queue as if it is live. Add a new comment when tickets sell out, entry rules change or the pop-up closes.

Finding practical food help by Seoul neighborhood

Name the nearest station and the meal you need, then add solo-dining, dietary and budget constraints. A recommendation is more useful when it says how ordering worked, whether an international card worked and when the writer last visited.

Check your transit-card balance before a long day

Look at the balance shown by the reader or a supported machine before taking several connections. Carry a backup payment plan and confirm where this card can be topped up. Do not assume that every shop accepts every card or charging method. Do not assume every transfer means leaving the gates

Follow the transfer signs and your current route before tapping out of a station. Some connections stay inside the paid area while others have different arrangements. If you exit by mistake, ask staff rather than trying to force your way back. Keep a taxi receipt until you have checked your bags

Before leaving, check the seat, floor and luggage area. Keep the receipt or app trip record in case you need to identify the vehicle later. Report a lost item through the operator’s proper channel without posting your private trip details publicly. Show a taxi driver the Korean destination and entrance

Prepare the Korean road address and accommodation name on your screen before boarding. Add the public entrance location if the building has several doors. Check the destination together; a translated hotel name alone can point to the wrong branch. Identify the ordering method before calling for service

Look for a table tablet, order sheet, counter queue or call button. Follow the venue’s actual ordering flow and check that the order was accepted. Tapping through a screen without confirming the final step can leave you waiting for an order that was never sent. Use the next station to confirm subway direction

Compare the next station shown on the platform with the route on your map. This is especially useful when a line has branches or a circular section. Check again after a transfer instead of following the color alone. Check a station locker before putting your bag inside

Read the locker’s size, closing time, payment options and collection instructions before paying. Save the locker location and number privately. Plan the lift route before a luggage-heavy transfer

Use the station’s accessibility information or ask staff where the lift is. The easiest walking route is not always the easiest luggage route. Allow extra time if the lift leads to a different entrance or platform area. Ask about transit cards for each traveler in your group

Confirm the rules for the exact card and service before sharing a card. Keeping each traveler’s payment separate makes transfers and balance checks easier. Ask staff about children’s arrangements rather than applying adult-card assumptions.
